Another issue at the forefront of public attention right now is the PUC's purchase of the old Mirab Building on North Front Street in Belize City for its new headquarters. The purchase price is over 10 million dollars - and the new, PUC is trying to reverse the sale.
Today the Minister off Public Utilities called it, "robbing the cradle":

Hon. Rodwell Ferguson, Minister of Public Utilities and Logistics
"When I got into the department or the public utilities commission to meet the director for the first time that was shown to me and I said this is what you call robbing the cradle because the country is in a serious pandemic, we're in a serious financial crisis and at a time like this they would see it fit to buy and purchase a building for 10.3million Belize dollars when Belizeans are suffering."
