So while that UDP rep made the pivot to wider unemployment, if Prime Minister Briceno was there, he might have told her to "can it" - or maybe he wouldn't have been that nice.
That's playful speculation based on harsh words uttered by the PM on the campaign trail in Cayo. The PM said that Jackie Willoughby, the former president of the PSU, should have kept her mouth shut on the issue regarding Dr Manzanero.
Here are his comments and the response from the Leader of the Opposition.
Hon. John Briceno, Prime Minister
"I find it ironic that Miss Willoughy finally opened her mouth, because when the UDP government was breaking all the laws including the public service she kept her mouth shut. So Miss Willoughy supposed to shut up right now. We are going to do what is right and we are going to fix it. We are very grateful to the work that Dr. Manzanera has done and its not that we are firing Dr. Manzanero, we are just putting him at a different post, because now we have somebody else taking over the post as director of health services."
Hon. Patrick Faber, Leader of the Opposition

"I saw him do an interview where he is referring to another public servant, a lady more significantly at that saying that the lady should shut up. What kind of decorum is that? Is that the way a prime minister ought to be carrying on and carrying on in public and is that the way a national leader should be speaking about citizens of his country, but more particularly members of the public service. I think not and so we place on record and we call on the prime minister to change his ways. That's arrogance to the fullest. Nobody is to be talking down to citizens or public servants in this country."
