It's early months into the Briceno Administration but, tonight there is a change in Prime Minister Briceno's Cabinet. Gilroy Usher Sr., formerly the Minister of State in the Ministry of Human Development, Families, and Indigenous People's Affairs has been reassigned to a different ministry.
He has now been appointed as Minister of State in the Ministry of Public Utilities and Logistics, under minister, Rodwell Ferguson. This comes after months of reports that Usher and his Minister Dolores Balderamos Garcia had - what might kindly be called - different management styles.
She is expected to be a better match with Corozal Bay's Elvia Vega-Samos.
Today, her campaign team from Corozal Bay made a post on her page which says, quote, "...Our First-Indigenous-American Governor-General, Her Excellency Froyla Tzalam, will be swearing in Corozal Bay's First Female Area Representative as Minister of State of Human Development, Families, and Indigenous Peoples' Affairs. End quote.
