And from a major storm season to major diplomatic news…Prime Minister Briceno is set to make his first official visit with Guatemalan President Alejandro Giammattei. A typically late press release from the Government Press Office says he left the country today and is in Guatemala tonight for a two night stay.
It is the first time in many years that such a meeting is happening and it's arguably one of the most strategic bilateral meetings that the PM will undertake.
A vapid press release does not disclose any agenda for the meeting or areas to be discussed.
The Prime Minister returns to Belize on June 3, 2021. During his absence, Hon. Deputy Cordel Hyde, will act as Prime Minister.
