And the PM also got the chance to reflect on the recent turmoil occurring within the UDP. He likened it to an implosion, and called it a shame and unfortunate for democracy.

But he didn't lament on it too much since he said his own party has been busy dealing with the issues affecting the entire country.

Hon. John Briceno, Prime Minister

"It's quite unfortunate that the opposition is imploding. I know everybody like to say it's good to have a strong opposition and of course the opponent would want a weak opponent, but at the end of the day its quite unfortunate at what is happening to them that they can't get their act together and as to the new leader of the opposition I wish him well. I don't know how we will be able to manage when you have such deep divisions, but we as a government and our party we need to keep focus to address the issues the pandemic, getting as many people vaccinated. I repeat again please get vaccinated. That is the only way we can try to live as a normal life as we possibly can and to open up the economy and create jobs and opportunities for everyone. As a government we remain focus on our work."
