And while Peyrefitte is talking against the 11th Amendment - his party leader Patrick Faber has consistently been cagey in taking any public position on an amendment that may spell ruin for his inter party rival, Leader of the Opposition, Shyne Barrow.
But, you probably won't hear them bickering in public right now, because the UDP has effected a gag order on all its party bigwigs.
Peyrefitte says it's not a gag order - just a gentleman's agreement to hold it down:

"We sat down with all the parties and we had discussions and we said that clearly all this back and forth is not helping the party and we would appreciate if everybody would just cool it off. But no such gag order was placed. It was an assessment of the situation and agreement that was the best thing to do going forward."
