Hyde also commented on the remarks yesterday by Prime Minister John Briceno abut the 2005 privatisation document which states that every time a general commodity goes to Big Creek, government will re-imburse the Port of Belize Limited.

The Prime Minister said it is unenforceable. We asked Hyde about it today:

Jules Vasquez
"Are you able to speak about the comments made by the prime minister about what he considers the unenforceability of the 2006 MOU signed by his former boss prime minister Said Musa?"

Evan Mose Hyde - President, CWU
"Well obviously the prime minister has admitted on national broadcast that he's a cane farmer and I'm a talk show host. None of we are lawyers, so I guess he's guided by what his lawyers, I'm guided by what our lawyers tell us, that's how it works right? You are master of the English language my brother, so I'm sure you can look what is said in that agreement, it seems kind of clear to me that it says that government will restrict the expansion of big creek."
