We also asked the UDP leader and the Leader of the Opposition about his predecessor, Shyne Barrow. He held the L-O-O post for almost three hot months between July and September.

We asked Faber if it was his urgency to get rd of Shyne that brought the UDP together:

Jules Vasquez
"Is the thing that unified you all your desperation to make the Independence Day speech? Obviously, everything happened right in time for September 21st, Shyne was going to make the speech."

Hon. Patrick Faber, Leader of the Opposition
"I don't know where that has come from. If you want to use the word desperation, Yes, there was a desperation to unify the party because every day that passed, every day that we continue to be disunited, the PUP became stronger in getting away with the nonsense they are doing to the country."

Jules Vasquez
"Do you think that Shyne's tenure as the leader of the opposition was farcical or that he was an imposter leader of the opposition?"

Hon. Patrick Faber, Leader of the Opposition
"I won't comment on what happened. Clearly, you know that it was not something that I would have wanted to happen and so whatever I would have to say in terms of criticizing, that will not be helpful to the unity of the party, so I will stay away from doing that."
