But some PUP commentators aren't taking so blasé a view. Today on the party's morning show - which is named "The Whip" - host Vaughan Gill - who works out of the Prime Minister's Office - seemed to take a glancing blow at Minister Musa and the Minister of State's son - suggesting that there is too much complacency within his own government in addressing corruption in the police department:

Vaughan Gill, Host, The Whip

"The firearm that was recovered belongs to a female police officer who is the partner of the alleged gun man who is in custody. You see the mix up that is happening already right and that's why I am saying that police - and its over and over you have these kinds of mix-up and nothing comes out of it, except the man when he is getting arraigned at court - they hide his face so nobody can see them and all kinds of stupidness happens. I am saying that just like you I believe the high command has to act now and I understand the political game, because they will say oh da minista, but this man was a police man for a while and have been mix-up from Schakron nephew days and so if we want to solve the problem we have to deal with corruption in the police at the high, low level. The police can't police if they are part of the problem. We will take the baggage on if we allow the senior members of the police to cover up and you know why the senior would want to cover up, because all of them mix-up."
