Don't Rush The Drug Bill

Another topic that sparked a lengthy debate was the Briceno Government's Misuse of Drugs (Amendment) Bill of 2021.

If it is passed, this amendment will legalize marijuana by establishing a series of legal permits such as a cultivation license, a delivery license, a dispensary license, a processing license, a restaurant consumption lounge license, and even a Cannabis Program Identification Card for recreational marijuana consumers.

During yesterday's Senate Meeting, several of the senators suggested that GOB should not rush this one out because it could cause a number of unforeseen problems. Here are a few of those comments:
