When it was time for a vote to be taken on all those bills, the Senator representing the Labour Movement intervened and asked the Senate President for a division on the bills connected to the DHS post. He was attempting to separate those from the amendment which would allow the KHMH Union to have representation on the hospital's Board. But, Eamon Courtenay, the Leader of Government Business, objected on the grounds that he was not allowed to do that, due to Senate parliamentary procedure.
