And, the government is also under pressure from the Joint Unions to re-engage in dialogue. As we have reported, the Joint Unions Negotiating Team, known as the JUNT feels that the government member have disengaged from the union leaders.

They should meet every few months to go over the government's fiscal performance - but according the PSU President recently told us that their mails and calls for meetings have gone unanswered.

Deputy Prime Minister Cordel Hyde is the ranking minister on that team - and today he gave his best game face and said they haven't abandoned, they're just re-charging:

"We would never abandon that relationship, that engagement, that medium where we are able to discuss issues that affect the government and affect the public officers and teachers. I think a meeting is scheduled pretty shortly, pretty soon. And we will, I know those will be very interesting, very exciting, very animated discussions we look forward to them."
