John Saldivar, Rejects US Designation
"I admit that it is a difficult time for my party, for my colleagues and certainly is a difficult time for my party leader. I certainly give him the latitude to walk this tight rope as it were because he has competing interests. People who have pressures wherever they are coming from and he has to walk that tight rope. The only thing I take from what he has repeatedly said is my right to due process and my right to be heard and to hear that the evidence that is against me. He has been steadfast on that and so I have no difficulty with how he has been talking so far in the media."
