For the past few days you've been hearing from the former Prime Minister and the former Attorney General about the Definitive Agreement signed by their colleague, Erwin Contreras a month before the general election.
They both reject it as totally wrong and unauthorized - but today the current leader of the UDP Shyne Barrow pointed instead to what the agreement has done to the PUP.
He said - according to his political intelligence - taking the controversial Definitive Agreement to cabinet has spawned a movement he's calling "G-X". Here's what he said in a press briefing today:

"How is it now that we have the prime minister saying that this is a binding contract and there's nothing we could do? and then presenting that same definitive agreement - not doing what he is trying to present now after the "G-X" revolted against him, his cabinet revolted against him. Because of his presentation of that same Definitive Agreement, he didn't take that Definitive Agreement and mold it and shape it into a form that was beneficial to the Belizean people, as I hear they are now going to do, because he has been caught."
"This is the first time ever a Prime Minister, and Minister of Finance has presented something to his Cabinet, not since, I guess, Said Musa, has this happened. And this happened because the definitive agreement is corrupt, the definitive agreement is one of the most horrendous pieces of agreement that I have seen, and whole selling everything to a foreign entity."
"The prime minister comes across as illiterate and a fool, but I don't think he is - he read that definitive agreement, he knew what he was presenting to the Cabinet. He has been exposed and the same way the former minister that signed that has retired from politics? This is a great sign that Briceno needs to do the same. He's a 30 year career politician, and he represents the rot, the rot of yesterday. And I am told that it was - I hear the name of the Minister of Tourism - but there was another minister, a young one, that wants to be the leader of the PUP and this is the beginning of the end for Briceno."
