And we also asked the former AG about the current outgoing AG's announcement that she will be stepping down from the post. You've heard the PUP say that they knew from the start that Magali Marin Young wouldn't stick around for the entire five years. The PM re-iterated on Friday that she said it was two years and done.
So we asked Peyrefitte about that:
Mike Peyrefitte, UDP Senator

"So then it begs the question, doesn't it? If you have an attorney general that you know will retire or will demit office in two and a half years, then the minute that time comes, you should have already have a person in place to replace her. We still to this date don't know who will be the new AG and don't get me wrong, Hon. Magali Young has every right to say look, I have served my country for a couple years and I am willing to step down. There is no problem with that, there is no criticism of that. However, the question goes to the prime minister, where was you plan if according to you, you knew the AG would be stepping down. Who will be the new AG? What's the transition process? Its a very important ministry especially given that what the topic of the day is concerns a paper that you said you would take to the AG's ministry for her legal opinion."
"So, that would be a gaping hole left there, we are a country of laws. We come to parliament to pass laws. They need to name an AG very quickly and the country needs to know who that person will be."
Last week, the PM told us that they've narrowed down the choices and will be making the announcement of the new AG in the upcoming weeks.
