One man who did speak up for Juratowich, the former Prime Minister who first retained the British/Australian King's counsel for the ICJ case and other matters.

He said the current Prime Minister professionally embarrassing such a highly regarded international attorney who plays for the home team - is unforgivable:

Dean Barrow, Former Prime Minister

"I cry foul. No head of government should take that sort of a position and embarrass a lawyer that is not at odds with the government. This is the lawyer extremely well reputed, extremely well regarded who is in fact the head of our litigation team in charge of our case against Guatemala at the ICJ. That alone should mean that the head of government ought not to embarrass that lawyer in any way, But forget all that. As a matter of common decency, you don't do that. You don't do that to somebody who is in harness on behalf of the country and on behalf Mr. Prime Minister of your government. It leaves one speechless."
