He Was Overpaid; Andre Perez Refunds The Treasury

Minister Andre Perez continues his leave of absence from Cabinet - and tonight he's refunded the government the money he was overpaid since he went on leave a month ago.

7News has obtained a Treasure Receipt for 3,235 dollars which Perez today refunded to the Government of Belize.

This is the Monthly ministerial salary which he was paid up until the 15th of September - when his continued ministerial salary was leaked to the media. The Cabinet Secretary said it was his oversight and that the matter has since been corrected. Doubly so, since Perez has now refunded the money in full.
