So, we don't know who's going to pave Cemetery Road - but we figure someone will have to step and do it before municipal elections. That's just pure political logic.
And, right now - with the battered state of streets and roads in towns and cities - everybody is clamoring for help from the Minister of Infrastructure Development.
We asked the Minister about the pressure today:
Repoerter:
"what kind of pressure is the ministry under to deliver on this political objective?"
Julius Espat, MIDH Minister

"We experience pressure 365 days a year. It's in the nature of what we do. We have worked on what we call Plan Belize from the day we got in. All of this has been designed from before the 2020 elections. So all the projects that you're seeing is, you're just seeing the completion of many of them now. And that some will coincide with municipals, some doesn't coincide, some will coincide with general, it's just the nature of planning. And so we are doing our best. But pressure? That's, that's part of the game. And if you can't handle the pressure, then you shouldn't be here."
