On Friday, the PUP proudly premiered a sensational endorsement ad: former UDP Minister of State, Santino Castillo endorsing PUP mayor, Bernard Wagner.
For the PUP, it's a blue chip endorsement - and today the mayor told us how he swung it:

"As the ad says my relationship with Mr Castillo goes way back beyond politics. I have tried as a mayor to serve the people of the city. I've maintained that throughout my six years in office I've tried to ensure that I am here as a mayor for all the people in respect to political affiliations I have tried my best to be able to be accessible to UDP people and to PUO People and you will see throughout my campaign in this election that I will refrain from mud slinging I don't believe in I've never been that type of person that believe in the mud slinging and the bring down the other opponent no I believe that we should deal with the issues on hand and you judge me by the performance of this council under the stresses of Covid under the stresses of Lisa and at the end of the day you make your fair judgment as a resident of the city."
