And one thing the opposition leader kept going back to is the buying of votes - which we known is a PUDP phenomenon for many decades now.
And wherever votes are bought - there are what political parlance calls "bacon houses" - where voters go to pick up what is called a little stipend or lunch money - usually $50 or more for supporting a particular candidate.
It's an ingrained part of the electoral system - but you won't see bacon houses on any of hose fancy electoral maps.
