And while there are officers who find themselves OUTSIDE the compol's favor, there are also those who put in the extra effort to keep the country safe, and today, the ComPol applauded all the cops who made sure that Election Day went off without any major incidents.

While there were some minor fights, and some potentially violent situations, the police were quick to de escalate them. The ComPol told us more.

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"The vicissitudes of being a policeman is a really, really tough one. And I must take this opportunity to commend the police officers countrywide for the exceptional job done during the election process. As you would know that we live in a free and democratic country, and as such, our election must be free, fair and those persons who go to cast their vote must do so in a safe environment. And so we, the police, provide that environment for him. Yes, there were a few incidents, minor incidents, I must say, in some areas. But again, the police were quick to be on the ball and were able to diffuse those incident before it escalated to a point where a person would have been severely injured or whatever. So again, kudos to the officers who went out and did the utmost best to make sure that the election process went through without any incident."
