But even though they're prepared to try and stop any elections that pop up before the redistricting process is finalized, they can't do it alone. The BPM is now calling on Belizeans to put pressure on their area reps to force their hand and ensure that the proposal reaches the House of Representatives.

"This has been almost a year, July will make a year that the proposals have been laid. If you didn't like it, then reject it, send it to the Elections and Boundaries and come back with the international norms. And that is what we want to approve. But every month it's not on the docket for the Sitting of the House so it cannot be debated. And exactly like what you said, pushing it back and pushing it back and here we are waiting so we filed for the Consent Order to be enforced and we're going to go back into court and say what we received from the Elections and Boundaries Commission does not meet the constitutional requirement, does not meet what the expert witness proposed and instead of you doing a Taskforce that is not even mentioned in the constitution, just give the man the job that already did it and he can do it in a matter of hours and we can have our elections constitutionally held. But we need people pressure, media pressure, every kind of pressure we can and of course ultimately the court's pressure to have them do this thing the right way."
