And while Barrow spoke freely about using his personal fortune to fund his campaign - he said he's happy that he won't have to use any more political energy to deal with Chester Williams.

The Commissioner has recently stated on a morning show that he's sticking to law enforcement for now. Barrow supports that:

Shyne Barrow, Leader of the Opposition
"I don't have anything against the commissioner, but I do believe, I know for a fact that it was highly inappropriate for him to be commenting on any political activity while occupying the office of commissioner of police."

"It is not a joking matter, it is not something to pappy show. I give him kudos, I saw that he was on LOVE on Monday and he has adjusted his posture on the matter after great outcry from people from all walks, not just political people. Where he says what people have been saying, he should have said in the beginning that his table is filled with national security matters, happy that he has been elected president of regional bodies, I am more concerned with Belize, but kudos to him, but that should have been the response in the beginning."

"The commissioner of police should not be telling the people of Mesopotamia how they should vote, that was extremely inappropriate, unethical and a breach of the public service act. So I am pleased that he will be focusing on trying to do a better job than the sub-par job that he has been doing as of recent and I hope that we see improvements, not that he will be focused completely on citizen security rather than dancing with political aspirations."
