As we told you last week, the UDP could be making moves to expel Collett Standard Bearer Patrick Faber. Another sign of that came over the weekend when we saw a letter purporting to be written by the mayor of San Ignacio Earl Trapp.

It is addressed to the Party Chairman and refers to an outspoken post by Faber and says, quote, "it is disheartening to see Party members such as Patrick Faber repeatedly engage in destructive behavior that erodes public trust in the UDP and undermines our chances to win the next General Elections...Patrick Faber must be expelled...in order for the UDP to rid itself of the internal elements with ulterior motives and to finish destroying our great party that are already in shambles...We must send a clear message to all Party Officials that destructive behavior will not be tolerated."

Trapp had recently called for quote, "general reform" of his party after the recent trouncing in Toledo East bye election. His statement now sets the stage for the UDP National Party Council meeting on Saturday.
