And Commissioner of Lands Talbert Brackett who both signed off on the 2022 subdivision of the parcels and on the 2024 government valuation insisted - in his own defence - that it was no conflict of interest:
Talbert Brackett Sr, Commissoner of Lands
"It was approved and that person had applied for provisional approval. The commissioner of land is the chair to the land utilization process. There are quorum where people from the private sector along with technocrats from other departments vet, whereby the commissioner have no input on that vetting."
"It wouldn't be conflict of interest. The commissioner signs, signs on that."
