The UDP Leader also committed to expanding the party's pool of delegates to insulate it from corruption. Presently, each constituency has 16 delegates. Tracy Panton, UDP Leader
"We can't have five hundred and twenty delegates voting on behalf of the eighty thousand Belizeans that have supported this party in successive elections. There is a need for us to have wider representation and participation by party people."
"And I did say in my presentation today that indeed, as part of our constitutional reform, that matter will be revisited. It has my support and I believe it will have the support of the wider UDP base."
