And when we asked her how the party headquarters looked so spiffy today - after they looked positively busted just a few days ago - she said that when our news team showed the deplorable state of the building - it prompted a round of donations:

"On Friday when we came to the headquarters for the first time, the the chairman of the press Honorable Jules Vasquez. So he was here to see firsthand the kind of, let me not say let me decline, but because of that story that he was able to run due to his visit we have had a number of small and not so small supporters of the party, Belizeans at large who have chipped in."
"We are doing a comprehensive assessment of what we need and where the party is in terms of its liabilities. We're now in that process. But I would tell you there has been no shortage of those who are prepared to give a little and those who are prepared to give more than their fair share."
