The south ruled at this weekend's primary school football championship held in Dangriga.

After two days of competition on the grounds of the Carl Ramos Stadium - the boys from St. Peter Clavier R.C. School in Punta Gorda town nabbed the top prize while the girls from Sacred Heart R.C. School in Stann Creek took the top prize for the females.

Santa Elena primary school from Cayo was second place in the female category and Mary hill R.C. School from Corozal came in second for the male. Rounding out the top three were the boys from Holy Ghost R.C. School from Stann Creek and the girls from Guinea Grass R.C. School in Corozal. The 1st first winners took home trophies and of course bragging rights.
