Earlier on we showed you today’s stage 2 of the Tour of Belize. That grueling 66 mile ride was followed by a team time trial in the afternoon. Those trials, is basically an entire team against the clock. The participating teams rode the Boom Road – all 25 miles or 40 kilometers. The USA U-23 Team came out on top, finishing in a time of 51 minutes and 16 seconds. 8 seconds behind them was Team Tecos followed by Herring Gas Team in a time of 51 minutes and 45 seconds. Team Santino’s was the top Belizean teaming – finishing in fourth place.
At the end of stage three, Chilean Carlos Oyarzan is still on top and still wearing the yellow jersey. The Tour of Belize continues tomorrow morning from the Fort Street Tourism Village along Marine Parade, Princess Margaret Drive, Central American Boulevard, and onto the Western Highway to Benque.
