It may be one of Belize's biggest sports, but tonight it's still unclear what's next for the Cycling Federation of Belize after the President & the General Secretary resigned simultaneously three days ago.

President Alicia Thompson and General Secretary Allan Auil both sent in snap resignations to the Federation yesterday. Auil sent this message to the Federation members yesterday: "Ladies and gentlemen, I am writing to let you know of my decision to step down from my post of General Secretary for the CFB. It was my pleasure to work with you and for you this year, and I sincerely hope that the feeling is mutual. " Shortly after, President Thompson sent in this message: "Team representatives continue the excellent job you do as manager, coaches, sponsors or any other role you play in your team. Please note that I too today handed in my resignation from the post as president of the Cycling Federation of Belize. It was an honor serving you." Thompson told 7News that the workload was "just too much and I could not handle it." She indicated that there was not enough support from volunteers." Auil told us, "the beefy part of the cycling racing calendar coincides with the height of the tourism season (New Years through to Easter), making it difficult for me to fulfill all my responsibilities in a worthy enough manner, while also managing a tourism related business. For this reason I decided to step down."
