This past Sunday saw the Women's Cross Country Cycling Classic play out on the George Price Highway. The race goes from San Ignacio to Belize City, and on Friday, you saw three members of LA Sweat's team, including councillor Kaya Cattouse. One of her teammates placed first - even though it was her first time participating in the race. Regina Doty was a part of the LA Sweat ride on Thursday evening, and on Sunday she came in just under 3 hours and 20 minutes. Second place was won by Williams Racing Mexican cyclist Julyn Aguila and third by LA Sweat's Elizabeth Stevenson. There were a total of 11 cyclists, 3 Belizeans and 8 foreigners. The cash prize for first place is $3,000, second place is $1,500, and $1,000 for third.
