Earlier in the news, we took you to the very edge of Tibruce street where two riverside residents made very different choices about fleeing their makeshift homes at the height of the storm.
And even though the river posed special challenges for those families, their neighbours were also subjected to the worse of Lisa's horrors. This morning after they had returned to their homes, they showed our 7 news cameras what was left.

"6742 Tibruce street, the weather, this is the condition that it left me in I could take you inside so that you can see the whole thing, mama, go inside let's go cameraman because what we no di run no joke. Watch den see it den mama the whole place ripped up. See it den the whole wall, everything burst open, the bed everything wet up father, pass right through. Rough, very very, very rough all the coconut tree all my fence everything tear down ma'am. It was a bad experience but I didn't have anywhere to go and left my things so I had to stay to make sure, what my things were safe and still they aren't safe because everything got wet."
Another neighbor Egbert Jones says that when the worst of the storm hit, he had to take his children and run.

Egbert Jones, Resident, Tibruce street
"I never know this thing was going to come so dangerous. A hard thing came and I didn't know what to do I was left confuse. I'm still traumatized right now. I was in the. House and thing and when I looked through the window a zinc was coming from over the side son then I had to run out with my children them and thing. I told them just to follow their dad and if anything was to happen we would all die together. I thought all of us was dead you know but we had to run to the neighbor for a little shelter yes that's all I went through but it was really, really dangerous men I have never been through something like that in my life yet."
But the man we introduced you to in our last story says he was prepared and while he sent his kids to a shelter he stayed behind to make sure his neighbors were okay, and as we've showed you ended up saving quite a few of them.

"What have you lost?"

Resident, Tibruce street
"Everything, everything."
Cherisse Halsall
"T.V."
Resident, Tibruce street
"Everything, it done dash away. Well we prepared our house from three days ago because we know what a storm is so we didn't have any kind only the ones that flood out and have different mudslide but the house up there we secured that the people. They took the storm lightly they never did nail up or nothing."
Cherisse Halsall
"So you feel like your preparations were enough?"
Resident, Tibruce street
"Yup all the time we don't play when it comes to storms. Well, we been through this storm more than one time so we know how to maintain it but the river came in, mud slide and it was a terrible day, terrible. We have to deal with, it's god's work so we just have to start over."
