They still swaddle in mud all day, but the Ministry of Agriculture is boasting about some high tech pigs it has imported. A release says the Ministry has imported top purebred pigs from Iowa in the USA.
On December 19th the Ministry imported 16 pigs from Global Swine Exchange Limited. They will be integrated into the pig breeding program at Yo Creek Agricultural Station for the improvement of the national swine herd.
According to the pig professionals, the new animals will be leaner and more muscular, which is expected to improve local swine stock when introduced to pig farmers across the country.
