Banana Worker Found Murdered on Southern Highway

And as that roadside death has been confirmed as murder, murder is also the case in another body found on the highway's shoulder.

On Sunday night at 10 pm, police found the body of 25-year-old Edwin Annibal Hernandez on the side of the Southern Highway Near the junction with Placencia. Hernandez, a banana worker living at the Maya King Settlement had last been seen drinking with another man near to Maya King. They had a fight, but no one saw what happened after that. That other man, a 29-year-old Honduran has been detained. Annibal became the 91st and final murder for 2006.
