It's called the Belize Rural Development Project - an effort promote small-scale agricultural development in the hopes of improving social conditions in villages. And today in Belmopan that effort got a boost, as the little seen Minister of State in the Ministry of Agriculture Dave Burgos handed over three new vehicles to the district agricultural officers for Belize, Orange Walk and Toledo. According to a government release, these are more than just pickups; they are engines of progress as they will "allow the rural development projects to be implemented."
