Two weeks ago Baymen Cable Network's owner Richard Hoare was killed execution style inside his Prado on Vasquez Avenue. Two weeks later his murder remains unsolved and the intrigues around his death continue to swirl. Senior Superintendent of Police, and second in command at Eastern Division, Chester Williams today told the media that the investigation is very much alive. The problem, says Williams is that they aren't getting the information they need from the public.
Sr. Supt. Chester Williams, Deputy Commander - Eastern Division
"In relation to the murder of Mr. Richard Hoare, the police are still investigating that matter. We detained a suspect recently and that person was kept in custody for quite a number of hours and the investigators did not get any head way in terms of our investigation. We are still looking at other people who need to bring in for interviews and see if we could get something more tangible that we can go with.
I would still appeal to people, if you have any information that indeed could assist the police in those two major investigations, to feel free to contact us or call the 922 tip number which is quite confidential and you could share the information. All we need is the information. We do not need the identity of the person."

"In reference to Hoare's murder, what is the challenge here? What is keeping the police back from getting the information you all need to proceed?"
Sr. Supt. Chester Williams,
"What happened is because the way the incident occurred, we do not have any evidence to suggest that anyone wanted him dead and based on how it occurred, we are almost certain that he was murdered by someone he knew well and those are the things that create a bit of difficulty for us. And at this time, you there is a saying where they say that the street will talk, the street is talking but the information from the street in relation to that investigation is not coming the way we would want it to come. We, as I mentioned before, are looking at some people that we really want to interview but we do not want to bring them in and interview them without the necessary information we need; that will give us the angle of questions that we need to put to them."
As Williams mentioned, anyone with information on Richard Hoare's murder can call Crime Stoppers at 0-800-922-tips. You can remain anonymous and there is a possible cash reward.
