She won $142,500 on September 12th, but Victoria Cruz didn’t come from San Felipe in Orange Walk to claim her prize until today. So why did she wait so long? – here’s what she told us.
Jules Vasquez,
You won the 12th of September but you just came in today, the 27th December. How could you wait so long, it is $142,000?
Victoria Cruz, LOTTO Winner
“I don’t know but I waited. I said I will wait until all this celebration passes and then I will come.”
Jules Vasquez,
How will you spend the money?
Victoria Cruz,
“Well I will finish my house, I am just building my house and I will finish it.”
Jules Vasquez,
You can not only finish your house, you can build another house.
Victoria Cruz,
“I have to pay some things that I owe too.”
