As we told you earlier, there is still no word from Belmopan on who the Government CEO's are, nor has the so called COVID plan been publicized. But while there is obviously some level of "bavving" in Belmopan, the Ashcroft alliance seems to be getting on smartly with its checklist.

It's no secret that the Alliance had openly feuded with the Barrow administration which deliberately dragged its feet on approving the Belize Bank acquisition of Scotiabank; and Barrow's cabinet had also rejected the proposal for a Port of Belize cruise and bulk cargo expansion by the Alliance's Waterloo Investment Holdings Limited.

Well, since the election, reliable reports say the Central Bank has signed off on the Scotiabank acquisition, and now, we see that a virtual public consultation on the Environmental Impact assessment for the the Port of Belize Cruise and Cargo Expansion is scheduled for Thursday night. It will start at 6:00 on the Government of Belize's Facebook page. Public comments and concerns are invited.
