Cane Prices Looking Up

The cane season had a rough start last year when it was delayed due to tensions between the farmers and BSI/ASR. But things seem to be looking up since then, considering that the PM told us today that there has been an increase in the cane price estimate. While he didn't have the exact figure, he explained that it will be a great help to the farmers.

"There's a new cane price, the price has improved, as we know the price on the old market has gone up, and that by extension, I think it's somewhere around 57/59, I don't have the exact number, I got that just yesterday. But yes the price has gone up and things are looking good for our farmers and I hope that we can continue going in that upward trend."
