The controlled price of a 16 ounce loaf of bread - bakers continue to demand that it has to be increased - and government continues to hold the line.
On Tuesday Cabinet considered, quote, "the rising cost of wheat and the overall increase in the cost of production of bread. (Nonetheless) the price of a 16-ounce bread will continue to be controlled."
So, no increase for the bakers - and the Prime Minister today said they're looking for creative solutions:

Hon. John Briceno - Prime Minister
"We've had extensive discussions for the third time, we're trying to find a way how we can minimize the increase in bread. Everyone understands that the price will have to go up and we're trying to find creative ways how we can hold down the price as best as we possibly can. Minister Mai, it's his responsibility, he will be making an announcement tomorrow at the House Meeting."
And while we wait to hear what Minister Mai says, we know also from industry insiders that there's very little that can be done to keep the price of a 16 ounce loaf of bread down, since all the bakers input costs have gone up, especially butane for ovens.
