The mayor also spoke about CitCo's plans for the Mahogany Street area. Since there are a lot of food stalls on that strip, their plan is to turn it into a sort of a Mahogany Marketplace. Here's how he explained it:

"That's a project along with the BTB and along with the 2 area reps of those areas. We are looking to transform that area into a hub as they would call it, a food hub. People are already doing business there, but we want to standardize it and give them new booths, give them new opportunities, give them some grant funding to really jumpstart and really enhanced what they have already and so that is coming along pretty well."
"It's an organic type of area where so many entrepreneurs are utilizing that space due to the traffic and so we want to turn it into a safe space have the adequate pedestrian crossing, safety signs for children and that sort of thing."
