So what does the PUP Party Leader and PM John Bricneo have to say about his Cayo West Rep meeting in Melchor with 40 Cayo West voters who live in that Guatemalan border town?

He was clearly servicing these voters and that rubbed many the wrong way - including Benquenos who say he should be servicing his voters who actually live on their side of the river in Belize.

But for the PUP, which long criticized former UDP area rep Erwin Contreras for the mass registration of Melchorenos, it's now not such a big deal - even though Guatemala - which is claiming Belize - cannot be considered a friendly country.

Today the PM said, the Melchorenos need help too:

Hon. John Briceno, Prime Minister Of Belize
"I think it's different in the sense that these are already registered, voters. There are people living in the United States who are registered voters and so they can come here and vote, once you're on the list, you are, you have every right to be able to vote so I guess he was just doing his political work in trying to reach out to some of his voters that are on the other side assisting them because we know that there is great poverty on the Guatemalan side of the border, probably even worse than what we have in Belize."
