And last week we told you that one of the big three cruise lines, Royal Caribbean, has given a written commitment to the Port of Magical Belize, putting that proposed port ahead of the race.

But is this a guarantee that this proposed port in the Southern Belize District will get the government greenlight? CEO Kennedy Carillo says nothing is set in stone until NEAC makes their decision.

However, in February of last year, NEAC revisited Port of Magical Belize and made the decision to approve the EIA. The Chief Environmental Officer, Martin Alegria, had said that the potential environmental impacts were addressed.
