Colson Caye Caretaker Found Dead

Police don't know what caused the death of a man on Colson Caye, which is located just East of Dangriga Town.

Last night, 57 year old Honduran fisherman Juan Ramon Benitez was found on the island in an advanced state of decomposition. He was last seen 9 days earlier on Wednesday, November 22 when he was left behind to secure the Caye.

Police say that no signs of physical injury were seen on his body which now awaits a post mortem. At this time, police are not calling it foul play.
