The House Meeting scheduled for tomorrow has been postponed - and reports to our newsroom suggest that it may be because the Prime Minister has been under the weather with a flu.
He was ready to lead the business of the day with the introduction of the Supplementary Appropriations Bill number four which would appropriate funds for hurricane relief. He was also going to table loan motions for government guarantees to the Development Finance Corporation to support tertiary level education and micro, small and medium enterprises.
But, perhaps most important for Mr Briceno he was fixing to have a chest thumping session for e-negotiating the PEtrcairbe Debt - which is about 450 million Belize dollars. A cabinet brief speaks about, quote, "the debts owed by Belize to Venezuela on which a new agreement was reached that brings substantial benefits to both countries."
It's still going to happen, but we don't know when yet - as the meeting has not yet been re-scheduled.
