The South side's favourite Chef is back in the News tonight and proudly debuting a brand new iteration of his Mahogany street eatery, Naked Chicken.
7News stopped by just before noon to get a look at the lunch line and the Chef gave us a tour of his all-new pro-grade kitchen.
If you've ever caught one of our Chef Ainsley segments you'll know that the south side chef is the master of top quality, healthy food that regular people can afford.
But today we paid him a visit, not at the old Naked Chicken Shack - where he sweated it out and laboured for years in a cramped cook shop - still managing to bring cuisine to an under-served community.
But here in his brand new location that's just a hop and a skip away from where you're used to finding him on Mahogany street. He gave us the grand tour.
Chef Ainsley, Owner/Operator, Naked Chicken
"Lee view of the little nice opening here at Naked Chicken you know, nice little menu, we have a nice little turkey dinner with the full trimmings, we have a buffet over there you know what's going on. If you don't want to catch the line you can do the Buffet, cheese Lasagna, fry whole Snapper, Rice, and Beans, Coconut, tart and Lemon Tart, with this Buffett. It's just a short, nice opening so the little crowd is already pouring in on already on me, you know because it's quality food but that's just a little sample you know, so we will tour the kitchen now so we will take a little walk."

"Alright, c'mon in, c'mon in this is how we nice up these are the previews of our Lasagna, Garlic Bread, there cheese Lasagna watch the layers them, you know you have the nice little risotto cheese and layer by layer, you know it's a whole team work, he whole team doing a thing."
"See the pot of rice and beans here, we gone through that fresh pot looking to go through this next pot. I always remember telling people this was the section that I started working in when I was at the Radisson, washing up, pot top of pot, a mountain of the pot and then after that, I stopped washing up and then I went to the cold line section. I started to prepare Salad, vegetables, peel onion for the white man and then after that, he does hide his sauce from me all those things I went through you know, but I didn't worry about that cause I still peep and see what was going on and I created my own."
"And then after that I jumped to the. Hotline which is this area here that we call the hotline and this is where you run this from here. So this is how the section they look, see right now, fish is one thing that we have on our menu every day and this is the reduction, you know, this is how our roads chicken they look, we have roast chicken every weekend so everything looks nice nice nice so."
"This is our Buffett right outside, you know, we have our potato salad, nice potato salad, our fruits, potato salad fruits, we have the Roast chicken that we do also we have them on our rotisserie."
"So this is the turkey dinner, we have the turkey and the ham coming right out now."
And between dishing out meal after meal at the New Naked chicken's debut lunch, Chef Ainsley told us why his new restaurant is a long held dream come true.
Chef Ainsley, Owner/Operator, Naked Chicken
"Well I feel good, I catch cold seed and all because the turnout is so nice, you know, the ambience, the support and everything is nice mein, and at the end of the day I couldn't wait for this day here, the street was the hold up one spell and then after the street was the hold up then the current was the holdup due to where BEL was giving us a little trouble and then after that when everything finalizes I said thank God for that, now it's here so I'm ready for it now. I'm quite excited to my heart. I didn't know I would have come so far."
And the new Naked Chicken's opening festivities aren't over yet. Chef Ainsley is inviting the public out tomorrow for the best of his culinary offerings and entertainment in a women-only chicken wing eating contest. Special guest chefs like Sean Kuylen are set to stop by.
