But if you're thinking about trying to look for hotel rooms on the peninsula now, well, you're out of luck. Dial explained that for months, all rooms have been fully booked out, and they're expecting an exciting Easter.

"From what I understand, everywhere is booked out and has been booked out for quite some time. You know, everybody does business on Facebook so in the last week I think I seen two hotels say they had a last minute cancellation and before you could say lickity split those were snatched up so Easter is always a week that the peninsula is full and so, and it is some international guest but it is some Belizeans that come and travel and you know sometimes for them it's the only time they get out of their area or one of the only times they get out of their area and how nice it is for them to be able to come to Placencia or go to Cayo or San Pedro or wherever they go and be able to dine out every single day if they want, it's just, I think it's the right thing so I'm looking forward to Easter weekend."
