Feinstein also expressed his frustration with the government - which has effectively abandoned his project to give preference to the Port of Magical Belize.

He says they owe him because the very glimmer of the idea of his project likely saved a floundering Belizean cruise industry. He feels that initiative should be rewarded with a show of confidence. Here's more:

Mike Feinstein, Owner, Stake Bank

"This industry was in jeopardy at the point where the cruise lines was threatening Belize If you don't build a docking facility we're pulling out. Right. You probably remember and this was going on over and over and over, but yet nobody wants to build this project. So I took the initiative, got it together, as I told, is the history behind it."

"But anyway, so I started to build the project and all of a sudden two more want to develop themselves when only one can work. So the government should at least have the decency right, some sort of business ethics and say, listen, we have to give you enough time to recoup your investment. And then if the numbers are there and Belize can handle another port., Why build 2 and take the risk that they both fail. What kind of foolishness is that?"
