As you heard, fertilizer costs are one of the drivers of reduced productivity in the agricultural sector. Today the Minister of Agriculture said that there is, however, some relief on the horizon because shipping costs are going down:

Jose Mai, Minister of Agriculture

"Well, the fertilizer prices have been going down slowly. They haven't gone down to the level where they were before. So we're in a little better position with bananas, citrus and even sugarcane with the cost going down."

"But also some of the agro-inputs are going down because ocean freight has been going down. And so we find ourselves in a little better position, not to where we would want to be. So I think that all across the commodities, we are experiencing those reductions."

"But again, I say we are hopeful that it will continue to go down so that we can be competitive and our class of goods can go down generally."
