We know anecdotally that tourism arrivals are down - and it's happening across the region. But, we haven't been able to see the numbers, because the BTB has not updated its "performance dashboard." The most recent update showed overall arrivals down 7.3% for May of 2025, compared to May 2024.
Well, tonight 7News has obtained the most recent numbers for arrivals through the PGIA and they confirm our reports.
In June, arrivals through the PGIA were down 7.8% - when compared to the same period last year.
Domestic flights were also down by 12.8% in June.
And all major airline carriers, including American and United Airlines, reported a 10% or more downturn in passengers.
As we noted - this is happening throughout the region and is believed to be linked to the uncertainty in the US market due to the Trump presidency.
